I read all these success stories of people out of state doing well but not one from NYC. Is it harder to succeed in NYC because the real estate prices is so much higher then the rest of the country? Anyone having success investing in NYC, welcome to respond.

Hi,
I am in NY as well. I am just starting in this field. However, I would like to know how you are doing. Any success as yet? There seem to be a lot of real estate inventory available, but I have not make any offer as yet.
Hope all is going well with you and you are able to get a few deals. Let me know.

It may be a little more challenging in NYC because of the prices. You will have to insure that any rent you charge will cover the payments, plus you need to make sure that you can make the payments if the unit is vacant. Don't get discouraged, though. Keep searching for a motivated seller, and in the meantime, check out some of the areas around the city. You need to pick an area where the numbers work, no matter what. If the numbers don't work, go elsewhere. Good luck!
