Success Stories - Cheryl & Cliff Y.
Cheryl realized ten years ago that she wanted to "retire with real estate." And her husband Cliff had also considered real estate, but never had anyone to really show him how to do it.
Finally, in 2001, they decided to order Carleton's course. Cheryl was working in Alabama at the time as an information technology specialist and then coming home on weekends, while Cliff was working as a union floor layer in their home state of Missouri.
Today the couple own 21 properties, with a total of 38 units. They have a net worth of more than $1 million, and a monthly positive cash flow of $6,800. Cliff retired from his job to work in real estate, and they plan for Cheryl to retire soon.
And they constantly encourage their friends and acquaintances to get started investing. Cliff and Cheryl find that new investors are frequently afraid and confused because there are so many ways to purchase property, and they really don't know which method to use. "The more you do it, the less fearful you will be," Cheryl advises. "The key is to go out there and get started."
One of the biggest decisions Cliff and Cheryl made to "jump-start" their investing was to sign up for Carleton's Personal Coaching program.
According to Cliff, "In order to be a real estate investor, you have to be confident. And the best way to gain confidence is to 'get educated.'" They did—by purchasing Carleton's course and using his creative techniques, and then signing up for a Personal Coach.
