Credit Woes 4 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I too, have really bad credit. And I'm only 24 years old.

I lost my job a year ago....and have been struggling to get by.

I got denied for food stamps/public assistance because my landlord refused to sign the necessary paperwork.

I'm not certain what my credit score is...but I'm pretty sure it's not good.

That's my main concern: doing this course with horrible credit.

I know it can be done...just need help in repairing it.

Hello and Greetings kimbaW:

Did you wake up today with breath in your lungs?

If so, just as sure as you have breath in your lungs you will always have hope that your present circumstances is always looking for improvement. Remember, I said your present circumstance, not you personally!

You might ask what do you mean? I have gone from a 547 credit score and now up to a score that lenders really like. I have followed the teachings of the course, particularly in chapter 5 and followed it relentlessly until I started seeing change.

But Zoe you might ask, where do I get the money to repair some of the damage incurred by me? Again I say follow the teachings in chapter 5 and work it, you will be surprised at where you can find this funds to repair your credit as I did.

Now bare in mind, "YOU DO NOT NEED CREDIT" at all whether bad or good to buy Real Estate. In your NDP course you will definitely learn how to [color=blue]"CREATIVELY"
buy homes with none of your own money if you pursue the stages of your NDP course concerning:

1. Finding flexible sellers
2. Finding distressed sellers

and the list just goes on and on when you dig deep into your NDP course.

May the Lord show you mercy and grace in your present situation.

Study, and don't turn back

Kimba, You can go to free credit report.com to get a free copy of your credit report! They will give you your scores from all three repositories combined. You can check it as many times as you want for 30 days FREE. However if you don't call @ the end of the 30 days to cancel your free period ,they will charge you $11.95 per month. I know all to well that $11.95 doesn't seem like much, but if you don't have it $1.00 is to much! The good thing is that when you get your investment career going (you notice I said when not if) you can call them back and start paying them the monthly fee and check it whenever and as many times as you want! GOOD INVESTING. May GOD pour out His blessings on you and yours.                                                                                          Mark.

Armed with information about what goes into the calculation of your credit score, you can develop
your own plan for improving your score. Here are my best ways to improve your score:

Order a copy of your credit report. Review it carefully. Correct any significant errors.

Pay your bills on time.

Don't open a lot of new accounts over a short time period, especially if you have a short credit history.

Shop for credit over a short period of time.

FICO scores distinguish between searching for credit for a specific loan and searching for lots of different credit lines.

If you have a questionable credit history, open a few new credit accounts, use them responsibly, and pay them off on time.

Don't open credit accounts you don't intend to use.

A credit card or installment loan can raise your score as long as you don't have too high a balance and you pay it off in a timely manner.

Keep your balance low in relation to your available credit. If your credit limit is $10,000, keeping your balance below $2,500 (25%) will improve your score.

Pay off credit card debt rather than move it around to lower rate cards.

Moving balances to other credit cards and closing out the old account can hurt your score because it can change the ratio of your total credit card balances to your total available credit lines.
