i'm wondering what everyone's thoughts on John Reed are?  i don't want to stir any controversy, just curious about what people think

I have never heard of John Reed till your post, so I looked him up and visited his site. I cannot wait to see the forums opinions on this one! Really is an opinionated guy! I don't like the pessimistic nature, but I do respect what he said about knowing who you are taking advice from, and not just assuming that they have made successful deals. I am sure that many of the "gurus" are just salesmen selling the dream of wealth. But as far as Carleton's course, I have personally learned alot and profitted ($) from it.
I noticed Reed was not a promoter of the NDP course.

Thanks for the _link_. I too, haven't heard of John Reed until this post. Since he is not well known as Carleton Sheets, I suspect that he may be a Carleton Sheets wannabe.

You know, the main reason I purchased this course was because of the mistakes on my last property(the side by side duplex). I almost lost all of my properties because of that house! I knew I'd made some serious mistakes and I needed to make sure it didn't happen again. It only took a few minutes of reading the course materials to find out that I made a crucial mistake right up front. "DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH THE PROPERTY!". I found many more mistakes as well. If only I could have read that material first, I wouldn't have had to pull equity from my other three homes!

Anyway, only the beginners will be affected by the negative comments by John Reed. Those of us who are on our way, know better! I hope no one else suffers from a money pit that I did. Learn from the course first, then give it a try.

P.S. I've read the comments by John Reed, and found other errors in his conclusion. All in all, this course is an easy 2 year college course. Where else will you even begin to get this info in one location, and at such a low price?
